Ironman Worm Gear Reducers

Available through 10.00” center distance, the 800 Series Grove Gear IRONMAN™ reducer line is a true heavy duty workhorse that handles the environmental assaults, shock loading, frequent reversing and continuous duty cycles typical in many industrial applications. Designed to be the premium worm reducer in the industry, IRONMAN ™ reducers feature top quality features, including:

• One-piece cast iron housings with single output cover design, CNC machined for precise component fit and alignment.
• Viton® double-lip seals and super microfinished seal surfaces on input and output shafts.
• O-rings on all bearing covers, eliminating gaskets, sealants and leaks.
• Extra large lubricant reservoir filled with premium, high-temperature synthetic lubricant.
• One-piece, precision finished worms for higher efficiency and long-life operation.
• Bronze worm gear chill cast from high quality bronze for maximum strength, lubricity and superior life.
• Oversized high-speed bearings, positively retained for frequent reversing and start/stop cycles.

Ironman Washguard Reducers

Grove Gear IRONMAN WASHGUARD® reducers are designed and built to withstand the rigors of high pressure washdown environments in food service and other wet or humid conditions. The standard IRONMAN™ products are enhanced with WASHGUARD® features assuring trouble-free operation.

• Food grade white epoxy paint
• Food-Grade Synthetic Lubricant meets USDA Class H2 standards
• Enviroseal feature provides a vent-free and “sealed for life” design
• Viton® double-lip seals are up to five times more durable than nitrile seals and provide added resistance to chemicals common in washdown applications
• Patented Forsheda V-ring on output shaft provides extra protection from high pressure water spray and other contaminants
• O-ring on “flat-faced” input flange provides a positive seal against moisture intrusion
• Stainless steel output shaft is corrosion resistant for long life
• O-rings on input and output covers eliminate gaskets, sealants and leaks
• Washguard Gear+Motor™ combinations are available up to 1 ½ HP

Ironman All Stainless Steel Reducer

Grove Gear IRONMAN ALL-STAINLESS reducers offer superior corrosion protection. They are rust proof and able to withstand the harshest conditions. Our stainless steel housing, cover and external hardware offer an exceptionally long life. Each reducer comes with synthetic oil, eliminating the need for oil changes.

Standard features of the Grove Gear IRONMAN ALL-STAINLESS reducers include:

• O-ring on face of input flange, which provides a positive seal against moisture intrusion in this critical area
• Stainless steel output shaft
• Stainless steel hardware, including square-head pipe plugs to eliminate entrapment in vent locations
• Enviroseal eliminates the need for a vent, creating a “sealed for life” design
• Viton® double-lip shaft seals for superior resistance to chemicals common in washdown applications
• O-ring seals on input and output covers eliminate gaskets, sealants and leaks

Ironman Washguard Helical in-Line

Adding a white, BISSC certified epoxy finish to Helical-Inline reducers provides superior durability in wet environments and resistance to caustic cleaning solutions.  With WASHGUARD features the gear reducers are ideal for food service and other wet or humid conditions.
